Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 August 2026
This policy covers our website only
Information you share as a client during counseling or Reiki Brainspotting sessions is protected health information. It is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive when you begin care, and by federal and Pennsylvania law. That protection is separate from, and stronger than, what is described here. If you would like a copy of the Notice of Privacy Practices, please ask us.
Information we collect
We collect only what you choose to give us. If you never contact us, you can read this site without providing any personal information at all.
Information you give us directly
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you choose to write in the message field.
- Email and phone: anything you share when you write or call us.
- Appointment requests: the details needed to schedule, which may be collected through our booking or client portal systems.
Please do not include detailed health information in the website contact form. A short note about what you are looking for is all we need to start the conversation, and we will move to a secure channel from there.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and security providers automatically log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages visited. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
How we use your information
- To respond to your question or request.
- To schedule, confirm, and manage appointments.
- To send you information you have specifically asked for.
- To keep the website secure and working properly.
- To meet our legal, professional, and licensing obligations.
Lines we do not cross
We think this matters as much as the list above.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
- We never use health information for advertising. Nothing you tell us about what you are going through, what you are seeking help for, or whether you are a client is ever used to target advertising to you or shared with an advertising platform.
- We do not send the contents of our contact form, your email address, or your phone number to any advertising or social media platform.
- We do not build advertising audiences from the specific service pages you read on this site.
- We do not confirm or disclose whether someone is a client of this practice, except where the law requires it or you have given written authorization.
Service providers we use
Running a practice website means relying on a few outside services. We use providers in the following categories, and each has its own privacy policy.
- Website and form hosting: a marketing and CRM platform that hosts this site and processes contact form submissions on our behalf.
- Client portal and practice management: a healthcare practice management provider that operates our secure client portal.
- Appointment scheduling: an online booking provider used for some session types.
- Payments: a payment processor. Full card numbers are never stored on our systems.
- Email: a business email provider.
- Maps: our Contact page embeds a map so you can find our office.
- Website analytics: a provider that reports how the site is used, in aggregate.
- Advertising platforms: search engines and social media platforms where we may promote the practice, subject to the limits described below.
We share information with these providers only as needed to operate the practice, and we expect them to protect it. The specific providers we use may change over time as our tools change. If you would like to know exactly which providers we currently use, please ask and we will tell you.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Necessary cookies
Some cookies are required for the website to work, such as remembering your preferences within a visit. These are always active.
Analytics
We use website analytics to understand which pages people find useful and how the site is performing. This is reported to us in aggregate rather than as information about individual visitors.
Advertising
We may promote the practice through online advertising, including on search engines such as Google and on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Where we do, those platforms may set cookies or use similar technologies so we can tell whether an advertisement brought someone to our website.
Advertising for a counseling practice deserves particular care, so we hold ourselves to these limits, whichever platform we use:
- We never use health information for advertising. Nothing you tell us about what you are going through, what you are seeking help for, or whether you are a client is ever used to target advertising or shared with an advertising platform.
- We never send the contents of our contact form to an advertising platform. We may know that an enquiry came from an advertisement. We do not tell the advertising platform what you wrote.
- We do not upload your email address or phone number to advertising platforms for matching or targeting.
- We do not build advertising audiences based on which specific service pages you read on this site.
- Our advertising is based on what people are searching for and where they are located, not on any assumption about your health.
Your choices
You can set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, or to refuse them entirely. The site will still work, though some features may behave differently. Your browser's help menu explains how. Where a consent banner is shown on this site, your choices there are honored.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is still no common industry standard for how to respond to it. Because we do not track visitors across other websites based on health interest, our practice is consistent with the intent of that signal.
How we protect your information
This website is served over an encrypted connection, so information you submit is protected in transit. Access to submissions is limited to practice staff who need it, and our systems are monitored and kept up to date.
We should be honest about the limits: no website or method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Email in particular is not a secure channel. For anything sensitive, please use the client portal or speak with us by phone.
If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you without unreasonable delay and in accordance with Pennsylvania law and any other applicable requirements.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold. You may ask what personal information we have collected through this website.
- Correct or delete it. You may ask us to correct or delete website-collected information. Clinical records are handled differently and are subject to retention rules under state law and professional standards.
- Unsubscribe. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and we will remove you promptly.
To make any of these requests, contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information through this website from children under 13. Where we provide care to a minor client, that is arranged through a parent or legal guardian and handled under our clinical privacy practices rather than this website policy.
Pennsylvania and other state residents
Some states give residents specific rights over their personal information, including the right to know what is collected and to request deletion. We honor these requests from any visitor, regardless of where you live, to the extent the law allows and clinical record-keeping obligations permit.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted clearly here. We encourage you to check back occasionally.
Questions about this policy
If anything here is unclear, or you would like to make a request about your information, please reach out.
